The Problem
ArtiMax started where all good ideas do — on the water. Michael Borin, an Australian software developer and boat owner, found himself buried in logbooks, maintenance schedules, and supplier invoices every time he stepped off the dock. Managing a boat meant juggling spreadsheets, paper receipts, and memory — none of which scaled.
So he built Michael's BoatLog, a personal desktop application to bring order to the chaos. It tracked everything: equipment warranties, maintenance schedules, purchase orders, fuel logs, and crew outings. For years, it worked. But the world moved to the cloud, and a desktop app couldn't follow you onto the boat.

ArtiMax is Michael's BoatLog reimagined for the modern era — a full web application accessible from any device, anywhere. The name says it all: Artificial Intelligence, Maximum capability. Every feature from the original has been rebuilt from the ground up, and new ones added that weren't possible before.

ArtiMax is built by Michael Borin, founder of MaxSoft and creator of StrataMax — Australia's market-leading strata management platform since 1992.
Over three decades, MaxSoft grew from a Gold Coast startup to a national operation with 80 staff, multiple Australian Financial Services Licences, and an unmatched reputation in the strata industry. Having handed the business to the next generation, Michael turned his attention to the marine industry — applying the same philosophy that made StrataMax successful.
